CK67 vs CK65 – Product Family Overview

CK67
CK67 represents the newest generation of Honeywell rugged mobile computers. It is built on the latest Mobility Edge platform, offering longer Android support, higher performance and modern connectivity such as Wi-Fi 6E and 5G. CK67 is the recommended choice for new deployments and future-oriented investments.

CK65
CK65 is the previous generation but remains widely deployed and proven in warehouse and logistics environments. It is often selected for fleet extensions, replacements and environments where CK65 is already standardized.

Understanding Honeywell Part Numbers

Example: CK67-X1N-5ES1E0G

Honeywell part numbers encode the technical configuration of the device. Each section represents a key capability:

  • CK67 / CK65 – Product series
  • X0N / X1N / L0N – Connectivity platform (Wi-Fi only or WWAN-capable)
  • Memory code (e.g. 3E / 5E) – Typically 4GB/64GB or 8GB/128GB
  • Keypad type – Numeric, Numeric F-Key, Alphanumeric or Extended
  • Scanner engine – Standard Range or FlexRange / Extended Range
  • Additional options – Camera configuration, environmental variants, regional approvals

The exact coding differs between CK67 and CK65 generations, but the selection logic remains the same.

How to Choose the Right Model

Connectivity

  • Indoor warehouse operations → Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi 6E
  • Yards, vehicles or campus environments → LTE / 5G

Keypad (Most Critical Decision)

The keypad has a direct impact on productivity, error rate and user comfort. In many workflows, keypad choice is more important than processor or memory.

Scanner Engine

  • Standard Range – Ideal for cartons, parcels and short-range scanning
  • FlexRange / Extended Range – Required for high racks, pallets and long-distance scanning

Memory

  • 4GB / 64GB – Basic workflows
  • 8GB / 128GB – Modern WMS applications, multitasking and longer device lifecycle

Keypad Options – Visual Comparison

A) Large Numeric Keypad (29-key)

29-key Large Numeric
Designed for fast and accurate quantity input. Large keys reduce errors and are well suited for glove use and high-speed warehouse environments.
Best for: Picking, receiving and inventory counting.

B) Numeric F-Key Keypad (38-key)
